In 2019, I served as the Graphic Designer and Illustrator for the Limbo Album Cover for Augie Cooke-Mesme, an indie guitar instrumental artist. My objective was to leverage mixed media design to visually capture the artist's creative process and lifestyle, translating the unique essence of his music and his vibrant Hollywood surroundings into a compelling visual identity.
I conceived and executed the album cover design using a mixed media approach. The core visual features an illustration of the artist's guitar, strategically integrated with surrounding elements that reflect his artistic journey and the distinct atmosphere of Hollywood.
The design successfully achieved an evocative and unique aesthetic, moving beyond standard photography to create a deeper connection with the audience. By directly visualizing the artist's creative world, the cover resonated with both the artist and his listeners, positioning the album with a strong, distinct visual brand.
